About

Hey! I’m Devlin McDermott and I’m a composer and sound designer. I studied Film Scoring with a minor in Video Game Scoring at Berklee College of music and graduated in 2019. Since then, I’ve been working as a freelance composer and sound designer.

Although I studied composition, I have spent a lot of time practicing sound design, and have experience in audio programming as well.

Other skills of mine include basic C#, Blueprint in Unreal Engine, Unity, Da Vinci Resolve, and basic sculpting/modeling in Blender.

My primary instrument is bass guitar, but I’ll play most things with strings (and things that don’t have strings!)

Among my favorite composers right now are Joe Hisaishi (Studio Ghibli), Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts), Austin Wintory (Journey), and Lena Raine (Celeste).

My favorite games right now regarding sound design have to be Monster Hunter: World, and Risk of Rain 2.

Some projects I’ve worked on.
